By Don Choi ’88 and Catherine Cody, Jo Lauria, and Wim de Wit

Published Dec. 16, 2021

In the first book devoted to the life and work of William F. Cody, the authors include a wide variety of photos, renderings, and drawings for architectural commissions of the iconic Palm Springs architect’s innovative style. Responsible for much of the recognizable “Desert Modern” look across the West Coast, Cody’s work also pushed the boundaries of engineering. Master of the Midcentury (Phaidon) is a tribute to his work rich with patterns, texture, color, and art.
