The MBA Oath: Setting a Higher Standard for Business Leaders

(Portfolio) In the wake of the financial crisis, the Madoff scandal, and other headlines, some people have begun to vilify MBAs and to question the worth of business schools and the MBA degree. The authors of this book, along with a team of Harvard Business School students, developed the “MBA Oath” into a worldwide movement for a new generation of leaders who have pledged to conduct themselves with honesty and integrity. The book itself is the manifesto for the movement; in it, the authors argue for the necessity of the MBA Oath and provide examples of how it can be employed in real life. Anderson currently serves as chairman of the MBA Oath organization. Escher is a board member and the founding executive director of the organization.
