As protagonists Cassie and Nick Mandeville take action to save their neighborhood, they run headlong into an insensitive and possibly corrupt political system at the local level. Keeley lives in Princeton and is the author of eight novels, 15 volumes of poetry and fiction in translation, and 10 volumes of non-fiction. He taught English and creative writing at Princeton from 1954 to 1994.
