Gibbs has worked or been acquainted with the preeminent thinkers Lawrence Kohlberg, Martin Hoffman, and Jonathan Haidt, and in this book he compares, contrasts, and goes beyond their work. Gibbs is a professor of developmental psychology at Ohio State University.
