Mumbai Fables: A History of an Enchanted City
(Princeton University Press) In this book, Prakash examines the inner life of Mumbai as experienced by everyone from its citizens, planners, artists, and political activists. He looks at the stories of its history, tracing the city’s journey from the 16th-century Portuguese conquest of the present day. Prakash is the Dayton-Stockton Professor of History at Princeton University.
