New Perspectives on the Black Intellectual Tradition (Northwestern University Press) examines four central themes: black internationalism, religion and spirituality, racial politics and social justice, and black radicalism. A series of essays, the book aims to identify and analyze the origins and conduits of black ideas. Keisha Blain *14 teaches history at the University of Pittsburgh.
