The Organizational Ombudsman: Origins, Roles, and Operations, A Legal Guide

(American Bar Association) Designed for ombudsmen and the professional organizations they work for, the book traces the history and development of the organizational ombudsman. It explains the purpose of the ombudsman and why the position is necessary in light of changes that have occurred in the past 40 years. It also provides a discussion of legal issues associated with organizational ombudsman programs and includes examples of how ombudsmen function in their respective organizations. Howard is a lawyer and has a national practice in representing organizational ombudsmen at universities, multinational corporations, and major institutions.
