This collection of writings by top political scientists, historians, and legal scholars from across the country reflects on the state of America’s electoral process and what it means for the future of our democracy. Ballot stuffing, claims of election fraud, and faulty voting systems are among the plethora of concerning problems that have become normalized and dangerous. Nicole Hemmer, Kareem Crayton, Julilly Kohler-Hausmann, and Richard H. Pildes ’79 are just a few of the many contributors featured in Our Nation at Risk (NYU Press). Together, they raise the alarm on election security and argue it must be addressed in order to maintain democracy.
