Poetry’s Possible Worlds
Wheeler, an award-winning poet and critic, has published a work of non-fiction this time, reflecting on a turbulent period in her life that led to her father’s death. At the time, Wheeler was studying poetry in New Zealand as a Fulbright fellow. At home her father was “unraveling," resulting in the destruction of her parents' relationship and savings. In Poetry’s Possible Worlds (Tinderbox Editions) Wheeler’s essays explore the power in poetry and how it helped her through this dark time.
