Principles of the American Republic: An Essay on Government
(Sturdy Oak Press) In this essay, Schwartz explores the main principles of American government that the framers incorporated into the Constitution and traces the changes in those principles as well as the implications for our society. Schwartz posits that in the original plan of the American system of government, there was a delicate balance between liberty and equality, allowing for a variety of different interests to be unified. Schwartz details the ramifications of a movement away from those original principles. Schwartz is chairman emeritus of Asian Venture Capital Journal Group, a leading source of information on Asian private equity, venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions. He also is the author of The Future of Finance: How Private Equity and Venture Capital Will Shape the Global Economy.
