Race to Injustice: Lessons Learned from the Duke Lacrosse Rape Case

(Carolina Academic Press) Using the Duke lacrosse rape case as model, this book investigates limitations of the American criminal-justice system. Fourteen legal experts look deeply at the case to discuss a number of issues, including the impact of race, gender, and wealth on the criminal-justice system; alcohol consumption, male privilege, violence, and sex on college campuses; the use of DNA evidence in criminal cases; prosecutorial ethics; and academic freedom.
