(Scarecrow Press) In this book featuring academic work on the Grateful Dead, Meriwether has assembled essays that he edited, wrote, and published over the course of more than a decade as an academic editor of the small press series Dead Letters. The volume features work from three generations of scholars, including a wide variety of perspectives on the band and its cultural significance. Meriwether is the Grateful Dead Archivist at UC Santa Cruz.
