Referentiality and the Films of Woody Allen explores the filmmaker’s use of intertextuality, referentiality, and fusion of media forms. Allen’s movies are filled with references, allusions, and quotations from other artists’ works as well as his own previous films. D.E. (Dianah) Wynter ’81 is an assistant professor of cinema and television arts at California State University, Northridge.
