Relaxation in Action

Using a clear and science-based framework, Park and Hawkins tackle the link between relaxation and physical movement in their latest book. Contrary to the idea that more work equals better results, the pair actually argue that less can be more when it comes to meeting one’s fitness goals. Written for general readers, athletes, and martial artists, Relaxation in Action (Thru Publishing) homes in on three “long qualities”: focusing on one muscle to relax another, leaning into the lengthening that muscles experience when working to unlock more power, and understanding how different parts of the body work together.
