Wong Kar-wai, a Hong Kong film director, screenwriter, and producer, crafts his film soundtracks through a process of combination and repurposing. In Remixing Wong Kar-wai (Duke University Press Books), Biancorosso demonstrates how Wong’s technique enables well-known music to gain entirely new meaning in film. By remixing, Wong engages in creative destruction to formulate an entirely new genre of cinema, ultimately transforming music and film as we know it.
