(Research Institute for Mathematics) This book contains an analysis of the work credited to Nicolas Bourbaki, a penname of a collection of young gifted French research mathematicians working during the 20th century. Pogorzelski has been a professor of mathematics at the University of Maine for over 35 years. He is the director of the Research Institute for Mathematics, the only institution in Maine that grants doctoral degrees in mathematics.
