Lu Rile, a photographer struggling to make ends meet, is on the point of desperation, until she captures a boy falling past her window in the background a self-portrait. The image could change her life, but showing the photograph is difficult, especially since the boy’s death has brought Lu and Kate, his grieving mother together, as the two forge an intense bond.
