Sichel: The Chamber Music of John Sichel
This album features two string quartets and a piano trio by John Sichel ’81 and performed by the Amphion String Quartet and pianist Hsin-yi Tsai. This chamber music has been hailed as classical avant-garde, as its tone moves from raging to mysterious. Sichel is a composer and professor of music at Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey. Artists and ensembles including the New York Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble have played his works around the world.
