The Social Amoebae: The Biology of Cellular Slime Molds
(Princeton University Press) This book provides a broad, nontechnical picture of the biology of cellular slime molds, including their evolution, sociobiology, ecology, behavior, and development. Drawing on the big lessons from decades of research, Bonner shows how slime molds fit into and illuminate biology as a whole. Bonner is professor emeritus of ecology and evolutionary biology at Princeton University.
