Sourcebook in the Mathematics of Medieval Europe and North Africa (Princeton University Press) explores the cross-cultural influences present in medieval mathematics. Looking at much of the math in its original language, readers will have the chance to examine key mathematical revelations, basic foundations, and thoughts of some of the earliest influential mathematicians. Victor Katz ’63 is a professor of mathematics emeritus at the University of the District of Columbia.
