Staten Island: Or, Life in the Boroughs

(Crumpled Press) Kuhner, a fifth-generation New Yorker born and raised in Queens, presents a portrait of Staten Island from its earliest days to today. Looming over his Staten Island includes the decay of our ideals and the ghosts of Whitman, Thoreau, Washington, and Burr. Included in the book are a foldout map and six original drawings by Lesley Chen. Kuhner is a former teacher who is currently working on a book.
