With cultural lessons that contextualize Italian grammar and vocabulary, Stellare teaches language through the arts, including a recipe by Lidia Bastianich, films by Nanni Moretti and Fred Kuwornu, photographs by Gianni Berengo Gardin, a song by Gianmaria Testa, and an interview with the anti-mafia photojournalist Letizia Battaglia. The book’s profits go to the organization EMERGENCY, which funds medical care for survivors of war and poverty.
