Susan Sontag: A Biography

In the first biography to be published since her 2004 death, Susan Sontag, one of America’s first celebrity intellectuals, is portrayed as a glamorous woman full of contradictions and inner conflicts whose life mirrored the cultural upheavals of her time. Dollenmayer is an award-winning translator and professor emeritus of German language and literature at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
