The Talking Point: Creating an Environment for Exploring Complex Meaning

(Information Age Publishing) This book explains how people learn in groups, exploring the strengths and weaknesses of making group decisions. One way to harness the benefits of groups is through the use of Structured Dialogic Design. This is intended to make large-scale collaboration possible in order to solve complex problems. Christakis documents how Structured Dialogic Design has been used and delves into the issues that face complex social system design in a way that is both scholarly and accessible. Christakis has served on the faculties of Yale, Georgetown, University of Athens, University of Virginia, and at George Mason University as director of Center for Interactive Management. He founded the management consultancy firm CWA Ltd.
