The Thoughtbook of F. Scott Fitzgerald: A Secret Boyhood Diary
(University of Minnesota Press) Fitzgerald was born in St. Paul, Minn., and at age 14 started keeping a short diary of his time there — his exploits among his friends, his rivalries, and his crushes. He drew upon many of these experiences in his stories and novels. This book includes a new introduction by Dave Page that covers the history and provenance of the diary, its significance to Fitzgerald’s literary development, and what it says about his life and writing process.
