Transatlantic Passages: Literary and Cultural Relations between Quebec and Francophone Europe
(McGill-Queen’s University Press) This book, a compilation of essays, interviews, and images, investigates the cultural commerce that is necessary to understanding the historical and current identities of Quebec and francophone Europe. The contributors consider transatlantic cultural figures, parallel cultural movements, cityscapes, art, music, and cinema, to show the transfers and confluences of ideas between the two societies and the unique francophone dimension of these exchanges. Santoro is an associate professor of French at Georgetown University.
