Visualizing Dunhuang is a nine-volume series which, for the first time ever, archives every piece of photographic and historical information on the Mogao and Yulin Caves in northwestern China. The caves served as a key link for the silk road and was a central location for Buddhist prayer. The total set compiles more than 3,000 photographs to capture this religiously and culturally significant site.
