Walter Kaufmann: Philosopher, Humanist, Heretic (Princeton University Press) is a biography of the philosopher’s life, ideas, and many works. A Princeton professor for more than 30 years, Kaufmann wrote widely on religion and literature and helped reestablish existentialism and Nietzche’s work after World War II.
