This book of poems, broken into 55 sections, explores the modern world through recognizable figures and moments including the Beach Boys, The Jackson 5, and life on Mars to name a few. Bennett uses these many themes to channel larger conversations about the “form of the American mind,” particularly in light of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
