(LSU Press) Osherow’s collection of poetry focuses on the idea that although human suffering may be irremediable, nature and language may help mitigate one’s sorrow. She searches for this key to aiding sorrow through the exploration of suffering. Osherow is the Distinguished Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Utah.
