Wolf Story

Published Jan. 21, 2016

First published in 1947, but out of print until now, this book begins with a father telling his constantly interrupting son a “wolf story.” Stories about Waldo the wolf start one bedtime, and continue on through subsequent bedtimes and Sunday outings in a succession of tricky and tantalizing episodes. McCleery was an American playwright and editor who lived most of his life in Princeton, where he was affiliated with the University and was founding editor of University: A Princeton Quarterly.
