The World Between Empires: Art and Identity in the Ancient Middle East
The World Between Empires (Yale University Press) examines the art and architecture along the major trade routes that connected the Roman and Parthian empires. A response to the destruction of cultural heritage in Iraq, Syria, and Iran, this book aims to preserve what has been lost to time or violence. Blair Fowlkes-Childs ’98 and Michael Seymour work in the Department of Ancient Near Eastern Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
