Outside Nassau Hall April 20 and 21, 1995, students demonstrated to express frustration with what they perceived as the University’s slowness in building an ethnic-studies program. Inside, 17 students occupied the office next to President Harold Shapiro *64’s for 35 hours beginning April 20. Their demands included more faculty, courses, and library holdings in Latino and Asian American studies and a center for ethnic studies. Do any PAW readers recognize these protesters?
