Prier named coach of men's hockey

When men’s hockey coach Bob Prier stepped into his new office at Princeton, he found a welcome note on the whiteboard and a handful of orange-and-black neckties on the desk — gifts from his predecessor, Guy Gadowsky, who resigned April 24 to become coach of the new varsity program at Penn State.

Prier, formerly the associate head coach at ECAC rival St. Lawrence, was thankful for the ties and for the strong team that Gadowsky left behind. “This program is in such a terrific state right now,” he said.
