Video highlights of the Los Angeles Opera's world-premiere production of Daniel Catan's opera, "Il Postino," based on the popular 1994 film of the same name. The story centers on a postman on a small Italian island who delivers mail to the exiled Chilean poet Pablo Neruda (played by Placido Domingo) and who discovers the power of poetry in living out his dreams. Catan was the composer and wrote the libretto for the opera.
