Dave died Oct. 23, 1998.

Dave came to Princeton from Huntley Project High School and Pompey’s Pillar, Mont., where he was a standout athlete and student leader. He was the only student in our class from Big Sky Country. On campus he played JV basketball and was involved in campus politics (class officer and UGA representative), as well as leading Stevenson as vice president and IAA chair. He roomed with Bill Armiger and Dennis O’Brien in Lockhart senior year. He majored in religion and was recipient of a Class of 1951 Scholarship.

After graduation Dave earned a master’s degree from George Washington University, returned to Montana and was elected as state representative from Butte four times, starting in 1980. He married Marcia McCormick, a union that produced Mac in 1977 and Meredith in 1979. He developed a Washington-based legislative consulting business while living and working in Montana.

The class belatedly extends its condolences to his family and friends.
