Felix E. Goodson ’49

Body

He was a survivor of the Bataan Death March, and was a POW for three and a half years on a Japanese ship at the age of 16 before coming to Princeton. He graduated from Clayton High School in Folsom, N.M., prior to joining the Army. At Princeton he majored in psychology, joined Dial Lodge, and graduated with honors.  

Bud went directly from Princeton to the University of Missouri, where he received a Ph.D. in psychology. He then joined the faculty of DePauw University, where he was a full professor in the department of psychology until his retirement. He wrote many psychology textbooks and several novels.

Bud is survived by children Jim, John, Jane, Holly ’88, Felix III ’91, Boyd ’95; and Brad. The class extends its sincere sympathy to them on their loss.
