Ferdinand Lamotte IV ’58

Body

He attended the Lawrenceville School before coming to Princeton. At Princeton he was in the politics department, was a member of Elm Club, and was active in the Schools and Scholarship Committee of the Orange Key. His senior-year roommates were Al Stender and Bill Hackenberg.

After graduation and obtaining an M.B.A. from Wharton, Andy was with the Girard Trust Bank for 17 years before joining James M. Davidson & Co., an investment-counseling firm, where he became a partner.

Andy enjoyed skiing and sailing. Some of his happiest times, when not with his grandchildren, were spent on his Cape Dory 30, Harmony, which he kept in Rock Hall. He was a member of the Corinthian and Rock Hall Yacht clubs, the Merion Cricket Club, and the Racquet Club of Philadelphia.

Andy is survived by a daughter, Danielle; a son, Ferdinand; a brother, Nicholas; his grandchildren, Rebecca, William, Isabelle, and Hayden; and his close friend, Linda Davis. To them all, the class extends sincere sympathy.
