Joe died July 18, 2020, at the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough, Maine.  

Joe was born in Oxford, Maine, and came to Princeton from Hebron Academy. He joined Cannon Club, majored in biology, and wrote his thesis on “Physiological Effects of Cortisone and ACTH.”  

He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School in 1957 and then served as a dentist in the Navy, stationed in New Orleans.  

Returning to Maine in 1959, Joe opened his dental practice in South Paris and continued in that practice until his retirement in 1992.  

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Colleen; six children; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
