Lawrence M. Riegel ’55

Body

Coming to Princeton from Choate, Larry majored in history, played rugby, and was a member of Cottage. Following graduation he spent two years in the Army and then returned to New York.

Larry’s 48-year business career was in advertising and marketing with McCann Erickson and affiliated companies, and he was senior vice president at the time he retired. He was very involved in the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

His greatest passions were family, friends, and travel. In our 50th yearbook, Larry wrote: “I realize how fortunate we have been in our lives. We can only hope our grandchildren, our great-grandchildren, as well as our many friends and classmates will be as fortunate.”

To Jeanne, his wife of 50 years; their children, Jennifer, Heather, Whitney, and Cynthia; the grandchildren; his brother, George; and Larry’s extended family and friends, the class extends deepest sympathy.
