Ray came to Princeton from Episcopal Academy in Philadelphia. He started with ’70 but joined our class in the course of his studies, which included a year at Balliol College in Oxford. He majored in philosophy, was a University Scholar, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Ray was a squash letterman as a sophomore and served as secretary of Ivy Club.
He graduated from Harvard Law School and returned to Philadelphia to practice law, initially at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius and later at Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis. Ray was a highly regarded trust and estates attorney. He lived in Center City Philadelphia and never married.
The class extends belated condolences to his family and friends.
