Stanley S. Morris ’47

Body

Stan was awarded his bachelor’s degree in engineering in 1946, earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering at NYU, and went on to a career in various chemical industries, where he displayed remarkable entrepreneurial talents.

In our 40th yearbook, Stan reported that he had remained at “Jack Benny’s [perpetual] age” of 39 and had just launched Tiger Enterprise and Tech Trend — two companies that marketed industrial coatings and solvents. Later he started a paint business in Vietnam that employed many people. In retirement he was an active industry consultant.

For Stan, life proved to be “better and better” as the years wore on. He was, his son Gray reports “incredibly proud” of his Princeton education — as well as the achievements of his “splendiferous” wife, Doris, and their two children and four grandchildren who, no doubt sharing Stan’s talents, took up very diverse, interesting occupations.

Stan died Jan. 17, 2008. Doris died shortly thereafter. We send our warm wishes to his family.
