We lost a popular classmate when Stephen “No-Neck” Sipos died June 3, 2005.

He came to Princeton with the class of 1970 from Lodi High School in Lodi, N.J. No-Neck belonged to Cannon Club and later joined our class. He had fond memories of the Rock Suite and football weekends. He was a member of the varsity rifle team.

After Princeton he earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. No-Neck’s professional career was in information technology, where he held positions as programmer, data analyst, and client services manager for several companies, including American Can, A&P, Information Sciences, and Computer Associates International.

He moved to Middletown, N.Y., about 1980 and remained there the rest of his life. At our 25th reunion, his thoughts: “Hope that someday there will be peace in the world and an end to hatred and bigotry.” His life satisfaction came from his wife, Aileen (married in 1974), and their two children, Aileen (born in 1975) and Stephen (1979). He enjoyed teaching Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (religious education) at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

His wife, Aileen, predeceased him. The class extends belated condolences to his family and friends.
