Meg Goldstein Fagan ’76 and her husband, James Nyoraku Schlefer, founded Kyo-Shin-An Arts, a nonprofit organization that promotes the integration of Japanese instruments into Western classical music and commissions new works. In this video, Schlefer plays the shakuhachi in a concerto he composed with the Orchestra of the Swan in the United Kingdom in May 2011.
