Greening the campus was a goal of the Princeton Environmental Reform Committee (PERC), a group of students, faculty, and staff that was organized in 1995, when this photo was taken. PERC’s “environmental audits” inspired many of the green initiatives — including recycling on campus and reduced food waste sent to landfills — that are standard practices today. PERC later became the Princeton Environmental Oversight Committee. Can any readers identify these students who posed for University photographer Robert Matthews?
