Infinite Progress is an extended solo violin piece written as a companion to Cara Marsh Sheffler ’04’s Guide, a dramatic monologue about the 1846 Donner Party’s pioneer journey westward. Cissell is the composer of Cosmography and a teaching artist for the New York Philharmonic.
