Ray was managing editor of PAW from 2005 to 2020. He was a writer and editor for The Daily Princetonian for four years, then received a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. Returning to his hometown newspaper in central New Jersey, he worked for 30 years at the Asbury Park Press. During his 14 years as executive editor, the paper won its first Pulitzer Prize. Ray has served as a Pulitzer Prize juror and as a member of The Daily Princetonian’s board of trustees.
